Berlin, 20 January 2026 – In the latest "Hotel Portals 2026" ranking by the German Institute for Service Quality (DISQ), conducted on behalf of the news channel ntv, ehotel was named the best hotel portal. The portal took first place in the overall results, scoring 83.1 out of 100 points and was the only provider in the test to receive a "very good" quality rating. Seven hotel portals were examined based on the criteria of online service quality and terms and conditions.
ehotel performed particularly well in the area of terms and conditions. With 94.6 out of 100 points, the portal achieved the highest score of all providers tested and was thus well above the industry average. Among other things, prices, transparency, availability and cancellation conditions were evaluated on the basis of specific booking scenarios in the UK and abroad. In several comparative cases, ehotel offered the cheapest prices and enabled savings of over 20 per cent in some cases compared to the competition.
According to ntv, which commissioned the study, ehotel also performed very well: "1st place: ehotel wins the test with a quality rating of 'very good'. The portal offers the lowest prices in almost all booking scenarios, resulting in cost savings of up to around 21 per cent. The cancellation policy is customer-friendly. Among other things, the website scores points with a wide range of topic-specific information and a detailed search function with precise filters." Added value for travel managers and companies
For companies and travel managers, hotel portals are a key lever for controlling travel costs and booking processes. The results of the DISQ study show that ehotel is particularly impressive in terms of price-performance, comparability and booking efficiency – all factors that play a decisive role in the business travel environment.
"In the business travel sector, it's less about inspiration and more about reliability, cost control and smooth processes," says Fritz Zerweck. "The fact that we are the leader in the independent DISQ test, especially in terms of conditions, confirms our claim to offer companies efficient and economical booking solutions."
Study background
As part of the study, the German Institute for Service Quality analysed the online service quality of the portals on the basis of numerous usage tests and the terms and conditions on the basis of fixed travel dates and specific hotels. The study was supplemented by price and performance analyses of real booking scenarios. The results were published on 8 January 2026.
