Science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar will present the award on 23 June 2023 Berlin, February 2023
– For the seventh time, ehotel® has been awarded the Top 100 seal as one of the country’s most innovative companies. The scientific selection process underlying the compamedia competition takes more than 100 criteria into account to assess innovation-promoting top management, the innovation climate, innovative processes and organisation, external orientation or open innovation, and innovation success. The Berlin-based company ehotel® has impressed in all five categories – particularly as ehotel®’s innovation success has not been a matter of chance for many years, but is demonstrably systematically planned and repeatable. “Innovation goals are part of our DNA,” explains Fritz Zerweck, CEO of ehotel®, “we work in a customer-focused manner and constantly respond to changes in the industry and the wishes of our customers.”
In 2000, ehotel® set out to simplify business travel for companies and employees – from booking to expense claims. This idea gave rise to innovations that have fundamentally transformed the market, such as the unique meta-search technology, which filters through over 7 million hotel rooms to display only valid offers and takes company policies into account during the search itself, or applies filters for amenities, comfort, climate protection and more. In addition, ehotel® offers various tools such as the ehotel® Rate Manager, which helps to optimise rate negotiations and bookings, and ehotel® Analytics, which allows travel volumes to be analysed and potential savings identified with minimal effort. With many other features, ehotel® fully covers the areas of sourcing, payment and billing to support business travellers, travel agents, buyers and accountants in the planning and execution of individual trips, group travel, meetings, conferences and major events. “Fairness and transparency form the basis of our entire offering,” emphasises Fritz Zerweck, “these values not only benefit our customers, but are also important for our employees to be creative and think ahead to the future.”
The Top 100 award will be presented at a ceremony on 23 June 2023 during the German SME Summit. Science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar will personally congratulate the winners in his capacity as the competition’s mentor.
