Süddeutsche Zeitung: Study certifies ehotel® app as being
of very high added value

In the “Mobile apps with added value” study conducted by ServiceValue GmbH on behalf of the Süddeutsche Zeitung, the app of the digital hotel booking platform ehotel® was awarded the honour of “Very high added value” certification – thus achieving 1st place within its category; hotel portals.

Berlin, 14 March 2023. Nowadays, online services must also be reliably accessible via smartphone, around the clock. For hotel guests in particular, the simple and clear operation of booking apps is particularly important. In the current “Mobile Apps mit Mehrwert” (Mobile apps with added value) study conducted by ServiceValue in cooperation with the Süddeutsche Zeitung and the SZ Institute, the ehotel® app has now been awarded “Very high added value” certification.
With this evaluation, the pioneer in the field of online booking platforms has also managed to secure first place within the “Hotel booking portals” sector. Since 2000, the Berlin-based ehotel AG has been ensuring that the booking and billing of rooms is made as simple as possible for business travellers and companies, thanks to the innovative Meta Search technology.

Together with the Süddeutsche Zeitung and the SZ Institute, this year the renowned analysis company, ServiceValue, has also studied which of the most well-known apps provide the greatest benefit to users. For the “Mobile Apps mit Mehrwert” (Mobile apps with added value) study, customers were surveyed with a view to determining their assessment of 638 mobile apps within 56 categories. According to the findings of the representative study, customers were so satisfied with the ehotel app that the company has now received “Very high added value” certification for the functionality and data security of its mobile app.

The fact that customers are once again declaring their trust for the ehotel® digital platform is particularly important to CEO Fritz Zerweck. “We are delighted that we have been able to impress so many users with our approach to creating a fair and transparent booking system. The entire team will therefore continue working hard in future to provide every traveller with a user-friendly hotel booking, with first-class service. Alongside the continuous further development of its own Meta Search technology and according to CEO Fritz Zerweck, ehotel® also wants to focus more on the reinforcement of e-mobility and the reduction of CO₂ emissions.

The “Mobile apps with added value” study was conducted by the ServiceValue analysis institute in collaboration with the Süddeutsche Zeitung and the SZ Institute. The precise results will initially be published in the 44th print edition of the Süddeutsche Zeitung, and are also available available on “Mobile apps with added value”.
